Q: How do I get to OWU?
A: We have directions for driving and flying below. If you're driving click the link for in depth driving directions If you are driving from the airport, see below:
Take US-23 North toward Delaware. Continue to follow US-23 about 15 miles.
Take the US-42/William St/US-36 exit toward OH-37/N Sandusky St
Turn left at OH-521/US-36/US-42/E William St
Continue to follow US-36/E William St about 2/3 mile.
After you pass Liberty St, you will see the Smith Dorm on your left and there is a parking lot.
You'll see the Public Safety Office in the section between the two wings of the dorm.
Come in this door. If no one is there, you can call: 740-368-2222.
If you're flying:
The University is an easy 30-40 minute ride from the airport. If you are not planning on renting a car, we are utilizing URBAN EXPRESS TRANSPORTATION for airport transportation. Make your own plans…their website is: www.urbanexpress.biz and their phone is: 1-877-840-0411. Their rates are (one way) $50 for the first person in a party, $10 for each additional person in that party.
DIRECTIONS: Exit to the lower baggage claim level. Follow the signs for 'passenger pickup'. Do NOT follow the signs for 'ground transportation'. Walk straight across the street at the exit for 'passenger pickup', through the taxi pick-up line. The first aisle is for airport shuttles. Look for the Urban Express Transportation logo on the side of the shuttle, towards the right side of the parking lot

The deadline has now passed for signing up for our shuttle service from the airport. You can, however, make arrangements for a shuttle back to the airport on Sunday, July 5. Sign up at the Guest Relations Desk at Kallah by Wednesday, July 1. The cost will be $30 per person.
Q: Where do I go when I get to OWU?
A. Registration will take place in the Reception Area of Smith Hall, located at 38 South Liberty St. (corner of Liberty and WIlliams) in Delaware, OH (A & B on the map below) Park in the Smith Dorm Parking Lot and LEAVE YOUR BAGS IN THE CAR until you know which dorm you are in. Take the steps or elevator to the second floor and you will find us! If you know you will arrive after 9 PM, please make sure to alert the office ASAP at kallahajr@rcn.com. If an unforeseen event prevents you from letting us know, call the OWU Public Safety Dept: 740-368-2222.
If you are arriving on campus before "official" registration begins on Sunday, June 29. Please come to the Kallah office in the Beeghly Library across from the Hamilton Wiilliams Student Union -- which is #1 on the map below) for keys and meal cards. We also ask that you give us a "heads up" and let us know when you plan to arrive .

Q. Should we bring our own linens, or hangers? Do they provide towels? Soap?
A. Upon check in, you will receive a package containing 2 FLAT sheets and a pillowcase, a blanket & pillow, and a small towel and washcloth. If you can squeeze a fitted bottom (twin) sheet and/or larger bath towel into your suitcase, we suggest you do so. We also suggest you pack hangers if you think you'll need them! The university does not provide soap. (Also, if you're driving and in a non-air conditioned room, you may want to bring a fan!)
Q: Are there laundry facilities at the dorms?
A: The dorms do have laundry facilities.
Q: What is the campus like?
A. The OWU campus if relatively small and nothing is more than a 10 minute walk, and most things take under 5 minutes. The streets between blocks are small and infrequently traveled. Check out their website: http://visit.owu.edu/map.html or the map below:.

Q: Can I come just for Shabbat?
A: The Shabbat Retreat begins Friday, July 3 at 5:00 pm, and concludes Sunday morning at 11:00 am. A unique opportunity to sample the flavor of a Kallah, it offers a choice of services, study sessions, and recreational activities in a Jewish spiritual context. Shabbat Retreat registrations must be received by 5:00 pm on Monday, June 29. If you have signed up for Shabbat, please register on campus by 5 PM Friday at Smith Hall, located at 38 South Liberty St. in Delaware, OH. Take the steps or elevator to the second floor and you will find us! If you know you will arrive after 5 PM, please make sure to alert the office ASAP at kallahajr@rcn.com.

Q: If I am doing workstudy, how do I pay?
A: Workstudy works like this: When you register, you only pay for your total fees minus the contracted workstudy amount. However, we still need to have a "security deposit" for the workstudy amount -- either as a check (which we will not cash) or a credit card number (which we will not process). Once you have satisfied your workstudy commitment, we will rip up the check or credit card info.
Q. Can I change my mind about classes or room types?
A. Yes. At this date, however, we ask that you wait until Kallah. We will have an add/drop process at our Guest Relations Desk. We have NO MORE air-conditioned rooms, however all classrooms, dining and program areas are fully air-conditioned.
Q. How do I sign up for a massage, acupuncture, or other treatment in the Healing Center?
A. When you get to Kallah, find the bookstore on the ground floor of the Hamilton WIlliams Student Center. You can choose, schedule and pay for your treatment there. Do it early! Times book fast.
Q: Can I camp near Kallah and come as a commuter?
A. Yes! There are 2 campgrounds near Ohio Wesleyan. See below:
