ALEPH Israel Trips

ALEPH is committed to providing opportunities for Jewish people worldwide, and particularly the next generation of young leaders, to visit Israel on spiritually-grounded study tours. Our tours emphasize peacemaking and environmentalism, and provide opportunities to meet with a diverse range of scholars, artists and activists, as well as encounters with the land itself.

The ALEPH Israel Tour Program includes two types of trips:

  1. Regular tours with Jewish Renewal guides and teachers, open to all, and
  2. FREE biennial Taglit-birthright israel trips for qualified participants ages 18-26. If you wish to register for the August 2012 ALEPH Jewish Renewal trip, see the directions below.

 PREVIOUS TRIP

Interfaith Spiritual Pilgrimage to Israel & Palestine
Supporting a New Paradigm for Healing and Peace

March - April 2010

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

This pilgrimage experience offered an opportunity for travelers to witness and support a healing for peace between Jews, Muslims and Christians while experiencing the sacred sites of the Holy Land. This interfaith spiritual pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine was like no other pilgrimage yet undertaken. Gandhi said, "If we were to create lasting peace we must begin with the children."

Jewish Renewal Rabbis Victor and Nadya Gross, Imam Jihad Turk, and co-founder of Salaam Shalom Educational Foundation, Shepha Schneirsohn Vainstein led a moving and soulful journey that began with inspiring visits to communities of Jewish, Muslim and Christian families transforming polarized societies in Israel through the Waldorf approach to education.
