Three year training program.  Enrollment limited. 7 UNITS (4 for Summer Courses and Winter Intensives, and 3 for the required Telecourses.)

Two Winter Intensives (Tues eve- Fri afternoon before OHALAH) and

Two Summer Courses (five day training held during Aleph Smicha Week)

Three Semesters Supervised Practice (with individuals and groups)

Telecourses  For ALEPH smicha students, courses 1 and 3  count as units in Practical Rabbinics, and course 2 may count either as Practical Rabbinics or as Exegesis.

2. Parashat HaShavua as Mirror for Spiritual Development  (also Torah)

3. Developmental Issues of Sage-ing  (also Practical Rabbinics) 

Related requirements  These already exist either as part of Aleph Ordination Programs’ offerings, or as part Aleph’s core requirements for becoming a paradigm-shifting spiritual leader.  Credit will be given for comparable courses taken in other seminaries and elsewhere; this will be determined in the registration process.

Two reflection papers required per year.

Spiritual Autobiography under the guidance of your Mashpia required in the final year.

Special Techniques

Fees (subject to change):  Tuition and fees $2400. A non-refundable application fee will hold your place: $250 for ordained clergy, $200 for students. A monthly payment plan is available. Fees do not include tuition for working with a Mashpia, supervision, telecourses, summer week, or room and board during Intensives.
