 SAGE-ING For Elders

About The ALEPH Sage-ing™ Project

The ALEPH Sage-ing™ Project is a multidisciplinary and multi-generational project designed to serve Jewish elders, their loved ones, people of other faiths who wish to learn and people in the caring professions. Lynne Iser, Rabbi Shaya Isenberg and Bahira Sugarma are co-directors of this project.

Our vision of Eldering or Sage-ing® is based on the book "From Age-ing to Sage-ing" by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi and the concepts and methods developed by him and others.

The Sage-ing® workshops are transformative, offering a new paradigm for the aging process as well as powerful contemplative tools. So much wisdom arises from accepting the finitude of our embodied lives, bringing an awareness of the preciousness of every moment. The ALEPH Sage-ing® Project is now offering a two year training for certification as an ALEPH Sage-ing® Mentor which includes supervision in bringing Sage-ing® home to your communities.
